Webinar Description: As summer approaches, rising temperatures and humidity can make mosquitoes more aggressive to seek blood and harass people. Several key mosquito species cause a variety of health problems due to their ability to transfer (vector) viruses and other disease-causing pathogens, some of which are life-threatening. In this webinar, we will cover tips and techniques to help pest control professionals battle against these pesky pests, , including mosquito biology, most significant mosquito vectors and disease threats, and the integrated pest management strategies to reduce mosquito populations and prevent mosquito bites.

Dr. Lucy Li

Dr. Lucy Li is currently an Associate in Extension of Public Health IPM, Department of Entomology for the University of Arizona. She has a Ph.D. degree from Purdue University in insect molecular biology, but most of her work has been in the area of IPM Extension and outreach. Lucy is currently involved in translational research on public health pests and IPM in the built environment and in American Indian Communities to reduce health threats from disease vectors and pests of public health concern.
